It seems funny to ask the dentist if chocolates are good for you. We

have been brought up telling ourselves to have chocolates in

moderation because otherwise they will lead to cavities due to sugar

content in them.

But now, Arises an interesting counterpart to chocolates- A DARK

CHOCOLATE!

You must have heard certain benefits of the same on the body as it has a

unique antioxidant property. But now even in the field of dentistry, its

significance has to be acknowledged.

BUT HOW?

Studies have shown that the main component of dark chocolate- the

cocoa beans helps in fighting against bacteria attacking the tooth to eat

the sugar on it. Some studies have also shown that the defensive

nature of dark chocolate is comparable to that of fluoride.

However, we need to have some more research to test the theory.

So, Ideally Dark chocolate is good chocolate!

But we should always have the following things in mind:

sweet tooth.

 Follow a Balanced diet of fruits, veggies & dairy products.
